KDX and the Web Wallet are designed to automatically detect when an address has been used and will generate a new one after each transaction. This ensures your privacy and security are always maintained. However, this does not mean that previously used addresses are no longer valid. In fact, those addresses remain fully functional and can still be used for receiving transactions if needed.
📝 Main
Recently, many friends have asked me why their Kaspa wallet addresses keep changing, making them hard to remember. This is actually a built-in feature of Kaspa, designed to enhance the privacy and security of your wallet address. The system works to prevent others from associating the hash value of a transaction with your real identity. In cryptocurrency, every time an address is used to send or receive funds, it becomes exposed, and privacy weakens, making the address more vulnerable to potential attacks. That's why UTXO-based blockchains like Kaspa often implement the practice of changing wallet addresses after each use to maintain user privacy.
Both KDX and the Web Wallet automatically detect when an address has been used and generate a new one after each transaction, ensuring that your privacy and security are always protected. However, this doesn't mean that previously used addresses are no longer valid. You can still use them if needed.
In simple terms, when you make a transaction on a cryptocurrency network, some "change" $KAS might be returned to your wallet. This "change" is sent to a newly generated change address instead of the original one, further increasing your security.
